Land Rover flashes Range Rover Evoque - The New convertible concept for Geneva

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque has been a smash success for the Jaguar-Land Rover group, which shot shows what's always been rumored to stay the works as a sequel: a convertible Evoque concept that may roll onstage at the Geneva Motor Show next month and in Ny in April. But it's not a done deal at this time.

Shown in London today, the topless Evoque adds 165 lbs. to the standard version, but otherwise has few changes. That's among the boxes still left unchecked before production; a road version would want some stiffening in the chassis to compensate for the lack of a hard roof, but that's no moon shot. The question appears to be among resources at Jaguar-Land Rover, a subsidiary of India's Tata Motors which has a large amount of engineering focus on its plate and nowhere close to the staff of a global automaker. (Land Rover also didn't show what the very best appeared as if when raised on the Evoque).

That said, you can imagine how this car would prosper in america, although we'd still make fun of the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet, because... well, just because.

Among the big surprises from the upcoming Geneva Motor Show became a little less surprising today whenever a GTSpirit reader sent in this shot of the new 2013 Ferrari 620GT, which having an expected 740 hp from its 12-cylinder engine will be the most powerful Ferrari ever built for road use. Sleek, sinister or subpar?

Along with the photos come new and specific rumors of the grand tourer's performance -- namely, a 0-to-60 mph time of three seconds dead, thanks to the 740 hp engine mated to a seven-speed transmission pushing the trunk wheels (no Ferrari FF four-wheel-drive here). It certainly is iffy to judge vehicle styling based on a grainy, underlit photo; several online critics already are picking nits for a few Aston Martin-esque details, but we'll reserve judgment until Ferrari gets on stage in Geneva.
