Anchorage, Alaska - I first heard of Bourbon during a camping trip to Fish Creek, just west of Missoula, Montana. It turns out that Montana, like their whiskey a bit, and a kid like me in Oregon, were much more familiar with high power, Ulta-hoppy beers in the Northwest Pacific.
Something about the smoke, the sweet-natured, sweet Maple Bourbon is good, call me here in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, and I was on a quest to try all of them.
Bourbon whiskey is an American who has come from, most commonly from Bourbon County in Kentucky. Although he did not need to become the county to bear the great name of Bourbon.
